Martin Buchholz (born May 12, 1942 in Berlin-Wedding ) is a cabaret artist , journalist and author . He is a member of the PEN Center Germany .

Professional background

From 1961 Buchholz worked as a journalist, reporter and editor at the evening , when people sheet in Today , the mirror , Stern , at Pardon and concrete deals.

From 1967 he belonged with Walter Barthel , Carl Guggomos , Rainer Hachfeld , Horst Tomayer and Hannes Schwenger to the editorial collective of the Berlin EXTRA service . His articles often consisted of language juggling and glosses . From 1979 he was involved in building the left-wing daily newspaper Die Neue . His columns in the weekly newspaper Hamburger Rundschau were also well known in the 1980s .

Since 1982 he has worked as a cabaret artist; he also works as a satirical writer, author and columnist. Buchholz 'tours take him all over Germany. At the Berlin voles , you can usually meet him on Sundays at 4:30 p.m.

He publishes the weekly newsreel on his website as a satire letter.

Buchholz lives with his partner, director and manager Harriet Eder in Berlin-Nikolassee and in Leubsdorf .

In 2018 he "retired". Occasionally, however, he still holds appearances and readings, occasionally writes newsreels or a book.
