Martin Busse (born June 30, 1958 in Brehme ) is a former German soccer player.

Athletic career

Martin Busse came to FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt from BSG activist Bischofferode at the age of 14 and made his debut in the GDR in the 1977/78 season on matchday 23 against 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig in a 1: 2 away defeat -Uper league . His first goal in the top division came in the following season in a 2-1 away win for Erfurt at FC Hansa Rostock . He played a total of 202 league games for the people from Blumenstadt and scored 58 goals. In the FDGB Cup , he came to a total of 29 missions in which he scored seven goals. He was also in 15 Intertoto Cup games on the field, where he scored twice in the opposing goal.

In the summer of 1988, the qualified sports teacher moved to the second-rate league for BSG Robotron Sömmerda, where he scored 22 goals in 61 games in the following three seasons - interrupted by a stay abroad at Terengganu FA in Malaysia . After the merger of the two German league systems, Martin Busse was then another year player-coach at Robotron's successor FSV Sömmerda in the Oberliga Nordost .

Selection bets

After initially playing four games (one goal) for the GDR Olympic team at the selection level for the DFV , he made three appearances in the senior national team in 1983 . He played against Belgium in Leipzig , against Bulgaria in Gera and again against the Belgians in Brussels . The two 2-1 defeats against the Red Devils , who qualified as group winners for the finals , were part of the 1984 European Championship qualification . In total, he was called up to March 1987 in a total of 23 matches of the Olympic team, to which he belonged again after the trip to the A-Elf.

Trivia

Martin Busse still plays in the traditional team of Rot-Weiß Erfurt and is a member of the DFB national team, founded in 2008 .
