Martin Loos (* 1977 in Steyr ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Martin Loos grew up in Tyrol . He completed his acting training from 1999 to 2003 at the Franz Schubert Conservatory for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna . Since then he has mainly worked for cinema and television.

Loos has appeared in various cinema productions, including the biographical film drama Falco - Damn, we're still alive! (2008) and in the horror thriller In 3 Days You're Dead 2 (2008). In the Austrian low-budget film 22:43 - Das Schicksal hat eine Plan (2010), which had its European premiere at the Max Ophüls Preis film festival in January 2011 , he played the leading role of the unsuccessful and deeply depressed writer Maximillian "Max" Feldner. As a business partner of the Tyrolean entrepreneur Steiner ( Karl Fischer ), he was also part of the cast of the Austrian zombie film Attack the Lederhosen Zombies (2016).

He worked for the cinema a. a. with the directors Erik Etschel , Thomas Roth , Andreas Prochaska , Markus Hautz and Dominik Hartl . He also appeared in several short films .

In the 5th season of the Austrian TV series SOKO Donau (2009), he had a leading role in the episode alongside Eva Herzig as Robert Puller, a suspect who lives in an open prison for felons. He directed the two-part television film Der Chinese (2011) with Peter Keglevic . Loos made his directorial debut with the short film Saturday Night Sunday Morning , which was shown at both Diagonale and Vienna Independent Shorts, who was also the main actor with Robert Stadlober .

In the 14th season of the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante (2019), Loos took on one of the episode roles as the suspected mental magician Felix Baum.

Loos also worked as an advertising actor and on the side as a yoga teacher.

After working in Tyrol and Vienna, Loos now lives in Berlin .
