Martin Steinrücke

Martin Steinrücke (born March 22, 1965 in Meschede ) is a German business economist . He holds the chair for general business administration as well as start-up planning and supply chain management at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Greifswald .

Life

Steinrücke graduated from Meschede high school in 1984 with the Abitur. He then completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk from 1984 to 1987 and was then a commercial clerk. Between 1987 and 1993 he studied business administration and mathematics at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . From 1993 to 1996 he was a doctoral candidate at the Chair of Business Administration at the University of Paderborn . In 1996 he received his doctorate as Dr. rer. pole. at the University of Paderborn. The topic of the dissertation was fuzzy sets and their conceptual application in production planning . In 1997 Martin Steinrücke worked as a business consultant for an English management consultancy in Nottingham and Hamburg .

The next station was from 1998 to 2004 the employment as a scientific assistant of Günter Fandel at the chair for business administration of the distance university in Hagen . From 2005 to 2006, Steinrücke was a lecturer at the economics faculty at the University of Münster and lecturer in mathematics and statistics at the European University of Applied Sciences . In 2006 he qualified as a professor with the writing of scheduling, capacity and material flow planning in order-oriented workshop production . In the same year he was awarded the license to teach business administration by the economics department of the Open University in Hagen. From 2006 to 2007 he was visiting professor for business administration at the University of Münster.

Since January 2008 Steinrücke has held the chair for general business administration as well as start-up planning and supply chain management at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Greifswald.

Steinrücke is one of 172 economics professors who signed the economists' open letter on the euro crisis in July 2012 .
