Martina Miedl (born April 27, 1996 in Judenburg , Styria ) is an Austrian violinist .

Life

Martina Miedl received her first violin lessons at the age of eight from Alexandra Ruth Rappitsch at the Fohnsdorf Music School . In 2013 she was accepted as a young student in Krzysztof Wegrzyn's violin class at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media , where she is currently still studying. The young violinist completed her first master class in 2007 with Lewis Kaplan at the International Summer Academy Mozarteum . Further master classes, u. a. with Michael Frischenschlager (International Music Academy Orpheus), Erich Gruenberg (International Music Academy Orpheus), Christian Altenburger (Allegro Vivo), Eugeniy Chevkenov (Wiener Musikseminar) and Milan Šetena (Internationales Musikforum Trenta) followed. In 2018 she took part in the Angelika Prokopp Summer Academy of the Vienna Philharmonic and in the associated opera project as concert master.

  • 2015: 1st prize Prof. Dichler competition as part of the Vienna Music Seminar
  • 2016: Germany Scholarship University for Music, Theater and Media Hanover
  • 2018: 1st prize Grand Prize Virtuoso , Vienna

Martina Miedl also won numerous prizes at the Austrian youth music competition Prima la Musica .

During her studies in Hanover, she also received a grant from Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Hanover eV

Concerts

Martina Miedl performed as a soloist a . a. with the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich , the Lower Saxony State Opera Orchestra, the NDR Radiophilharmonie , the Südwestdeutschem Kammerorchester Pforzheim , the Universitätsorchester Leoben and the Joseph-Haydn-Orchester Bruck an der Mur. She gained further solo and chamber music concert experience in Slovenia , the Czech Republic , Bulgaria , Germany , Italy ( Teatro La Fenice ), the Netherlands and Switzerland . In Austria she was a. a. to be heard in the Festspielhaus St. Pölten , in the Auditorium Grafenegg , in the Musikverein für Graz , in the Wiener Konzerthaus and in the Wiener Musikverein .

In October 2011 the young violinist played her debut concert in the series “Talente im Funkhaus” in the ORF Landesstudio Vorarlberg , and in January 2012 and June 2015 she was portrayed in the series INTRADA on Ö1 .

Martina Miedl plays a newly built violin, an Amati model, built in 2009 by master violin maker Ekkard Seidl from Markneukirchen .
