Mary Jo Markey

Mary Jo Markey (born circa 1970) is an American film editor .

Life

Mary Jo Markey originally studied English with the aim of teaching. After moving to Hollywood with her then-husband, she gave up this career aspiration and worked as an assistant to Robert Redford. During this time she came into contact with film editing and Redford helped her to do an internship in this field. Markey has been an independent editor since the mid-1990s. In one of her first films, Traumfrau - Desperelt sucht (1995), she also had a small supporting role.

She is responsible for the film editing of well-known films, such as Maybe better tomorrow and Mission: Impossible III . For television she edited numerous episodes of the series Felicity , Breaking News , Skin , Alias ​​- Die Agentin and Lost .
