Mat Zo (* the thirtieth April 1990 in London as Matan Zohar ) is a British DJ and music producer in the area Trance and Progressive . He also produces drum and bass under the pseudonym MRSA .

Life

Matan Zohar was born in London in 1990. After his parents separated, he lived in Cleveland with his mother, a professional violinist, since he was one year old. At the age of 8 he learned to play the guitar. In 2001 he moved back to London to live with his father. At that time he was very fascinated by Daft Punk and began to produce music samples in their style on his computer. He soon found trance music and was inspired by internet radio stations like Digitally Imported .

In 2007, before Mat came of age, he had already produced remixes for trance artists such as Andy Moor and Markus Schulz . Finally he was asked by Tiësto to remix his song "Driving To Heaven". The remix appeared on his CD compilation In Search of Sunrise 7 .

Meanwhile, Mat Zo is under contract with the trance label Anjunabeats and in May 2010 also released the compilation Anjunabeats Worldwide 02 together with Super8 & Tab . His most famous production so far is "24 Hours". The single was also remixed by Rank 1 and Oliver Smith . In 2011 he started a collaboration with Arty , another young trance artist who is under contract with Anjunabeats. Together they produced the successful songs Rebound and Mozart .

In 2010 he came to the choice of 100 DJs Top of DJ Mag ranked 66, a year later, he was ranked 73rd

In March 2016 his second studio album Self Assemble was released on his own label Mad Zoo.
