Mateusz Możdżeń (born March 14, 1991 in Warsaw , Poland ) is a Polish football player . He has been playing in the 1st division for Widzew Lodz since 2019 .
Career
Możdżeń began his career in the youth team of Ursus Warsaw, from where he moved to the youth department of Amica Wronki in 2007 . After half a year at Amica Wronki, he moved to Lech Posen in early 2008 , where he was brought into the first team in 2009. The left midfielder made his debut in the top Polish division on October 18, 2009 against Wisła Krakow , when he was substituted in the 90th minute. Eleven more season games follow. At the end of the season Możdżeń became Polish champions with Lech.
In the following 2010/11 season he made his debut at European club level. In the play-off qualifier for the Europa League against Dnipro Dnipropetrowsk Możdżeń came on for the Bosnian Semir Štilić in the 89th minute. The game in Ukraine was won 1-0. He scored his first professional goal on October 31, 2010 against Wisła Kraków (4-1) in stoppage time after being substituted on for Sławomir Peszko in the 90th minute .
In the 2011/12 season he finally became a regular at Lech Posen. After five years, he moved to league rivals Lechia Gdańsk in 2014 , where he made 24 league games in the 2014/15 season . For the 2015/16 season Możdżeń signed a 2-year contract with Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała . After he was relegated with the club at the end of the season, he joined the first division club Korona Kielce . His contract expired in Kielce in 2019.
After half a year at Zagłębie Sosnowiec , Możdżeń joined Widzew Lodz in 2019 .
