Mathieu Debuchy (born July 28, 1985 in Fretin ) is a French football player .

Career

Club stations

Mathieu Debuchy began his club career in 2003 at Lille OSC . In this, the full- back became a regular and top performer over time. In 2011 he was both cup winners and champions with Lille .

On January 4, 2013 Debuchy moved to the Premier League for Newcastle United . He signed a contract running until June 30, 2018.

For the 2014/15 season Debuchy moved to Arsenal . With his commitment, Arsenal sought to replace Bacary Sagna , who had migrated to Manchester City . After his arrival, however, Debuchy had to contend with injuries to his ankle and a dislocated shoulder, so that he could only play ten league games and play the victorious FA Cup semi-finals at Reading FC in the first year . This ultimately benefited the young Héctor Bellerín , who challenged him for his regular place and thus ensured that Debuchy had thoughts of emigration again after a year. On February 1, 2016, Debuchy moved to Girondins Bordeaux on loan to his home country until the end of the 2015/16 season .

French national teams

Debuchy played five times for France's U-21 national team . In October 2011 he played for the senior national team for the first time against Albania . He scored his first goal for France against Iceland in May 2012 . Debuchy was in the squad for the EM 2012 and was used there in all games. Two years later, on the occasion of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, he was an integral part of the Équipe Tricolore supervised by Didier Deschamps . With the exception of the third group game against Ecuador , in which Sagna represented him, he completed all games that ended with the elimination in the quarter-finals against Germany .
