Mats Äleklint

Mats Äleklint (* 1979 ) is a Swedish jazz trombonist , arranger and composer .

Life

Äleklint has been working as a freelance musician and musician since the early 2000s. a. with Alberto Pinton ( The Visible , 2004) Fredrik Nordström , Stephen Gauci , Per Henrik Wallin , Torbjörn Zetterberg and the formations Angles 8 , Fire! Orchestra , the Norrbotten Big Band and the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. In 2013 he performed with the Swedish sextet Je suis at the Moers Festival . Äleklint, who leads his own quartet, also worked on Neneh Cherry's production The Cherry Thing(2012), for which he also wrote arrangements. In the field of jazz he was involved in 17 recording sessions between 2002 and 2011.
