Kjell Nordeson (* 1964 in Jämtland ) is a Swedish jazz and improvisation musician ( drums , percussion, vibraphone ) and composer .

Kjell Nordeson received his bachelor's degree from Stockholm University and studied classical percussion with Björn Liljeqvist. In 1986 he founded the AALY Trio with Mats Gustafsson ; since then he has also worked with Sten Sandell , David Stackenäs , Martin Küchen ( Exploding Customer ), Jonas Kullhammar ( Nacka Forum ) and Fredrik Ljungkvist . In 1994 he founded the band project Co. Alba with the choreographer Nathalie Ruiz , for which he writes compositions. In addition to numerous dance performances, the short film Désiré was jointly created for Swedish television. Nordeson has also worked for the Riksteater, The Royal Dramatic Theater and the Stockholm City Theater. He went on tour with the ensemble of the choreographer Philippe Blanchard . In the field of jazz, Nordeson participated in 40 recording sessions between 1989 and 2011, including a. with Frank Gratkowski , Per Henrik Wallin , Guillermo Gregorio , Alberto Pinton and Biggi Vinkeloe . Nordeson has been working regularly in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2004 . a. with experimental musicians like Larry Ochs , Jon Raskin , John Ingle , Aram Shelton and Lisa Mezzacappa .
