Mattias Ståhl (* 11. December 1971 in Oskarshamn ) is a Swedish jazz - vibraphone (including marimba , glockenspiel , accordion , synthesizer , percussion ) and composer .

Life

Ståhl worked a. a. with Eirik Hegdal 's Team Hegdal, Cecilia Persson and the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra . In the field of jazz he was involved in 33 recording sessions between 1999 and 2012, including a. with Lennart Åberg , Bengt Berger , Fredrik Nordström , Lina Nyberg , Alberto Pinton and Per Tjernberg.

In 2001 he presented the trio album Stahls Bla , which he had recorded with Joakim Milder , Filip Augustson and Thomas Strønen . Since the beginning of the 2010s he has played in the Angles formation with Martin Küchen, Magnus Broo , Mats Äleklint , Johan Berthling and Kjell Nordeson . He is currently forming a trio with bassist Joe Williamson and drummer Christopher Cantillo, for which he also composes.

The musician lives in Stockholm .
