Max Kühner

Max Kühner (born January 15, 1974 in Munich ) is an entrepreneur and show jumper . Until 2014 he was active in sports for Germany, since 2015 he has started for Austria.

Life

In 1998 he finished his studies in business administration with a degree in business administration . Kühner is active in business with the companies "MK Sporthorses" and "LeaseForce AG". In addition to his business activities, he is an active show jumper.

From the beginning of 2007 he was part of the "Team Sabina Illbruck", which he a. a. with Markus Renzel , Markus Merschformann , Marco Illbruck , Henrik Griese, Lutz Gripshöver and Alexander Hufenstuhl . Sabina Illbruck dissolved the team at the end of 2010. Kühner has been running a riding facility in Starnberg - Hadorf since 2010 .

Since 2005 he has been a member of German Nations Cup teams around 30 times and a member of the national squad of German show jumpers. In 2009 he qualified for the World Cup final in Las Vegas with his horse Acantus GK. Since 2010, Kühner has consistently been among the top 100 of the Longines world jumping rider rankings. In October 2018 it was ranked 31st in the world.

Since January 1, 2015, Max Kühner has started for Austria, where he has a place of residence, before that he competed in 15 Nations' Awards for Germany. In August 2015 he competed for Austria at the European Championships in Aachen and finished 25th with Coeur de Lion. With his start at the 2016 World Cup finals , Kühner was the first Austrian to compete in a World Cup final for 18 years. After a failed first partial test with Electric Touch , he saddled Chardonnay in the following two partial tests and worked his way up to 14th place.

Max Kühner is married and has two daughters.

From 2012 to 2014 he was the international spokesman for show jumping and was a member of the show jumping committee of the World Equestrian Federation FEI, where he represented the interests of show jumpers.

In addition, Kühner was qualified for the 2009 World Cup final, but withdrew from the venue because Acantus GK was injured during the transport.
