Max von Bredow (politician, 1855)
Max Hermann Wichard Oskar von Bredow (born August 14, 1855 on Gut Landin, Westhavelland district , Brandenburg ; † January 26, 1918 in Rathenow , Westhavelland district) was a landowner and Prussian politician.

He was the son of the landlord Hasso von Bredow (1812–1864), landlord on Landin and Kriele (now districts of the municipality of Kotzen ) and royal Prussian district administrator of the Westhavelland district, and the Valeska Countess von Schmettow (1823–1895).
Bredow married on April 17, 1879 at Gut Wildenhoff ( Preußisch Eylau district , East Prussia ) Eugenie Countess von Schwerin (* July 2, 1860 at Gut Wildenhoff; † August 29, 1922 at Gut Landin), the daughter of the Kurmärk Chamberlain and landowner Otto Graf von Schwerin , Fideikommissherr on the estates Walsleben (Brandenburg), Wildenhoff and others, and Eugenie von Borcke (from the count's house).
Life
Bredow was a royal Prussian lieutenant a. D. and landowners on Landin and Kriele. He was also knighthood director and legal knight of the Order of St. John . He belonged to the Prussian House of Representatives as an elected member of the constituency Potsdam 7 (Westhavelland, Brandenburg, Zauch-Belzig) from 1891 to 1905 and was a member of the Prussian mansion (on presentation of the family).
The poet Theodor Fontane (1819–1898) wrote about an encounter with Bredow in 1889: “ The whole encounter was again very interesting to me, also a new proof of how things that are stronger always assert themselves in better and finer people than the political prejudice. “Like Fontane, Bredow was a fan of culinary delights. He had the ability to tolerate large amounts of alcohol problems, making it among the Rathenower Ziethen - Hussars was said that it would invite always two officers because it would be too expensive for one.
