Maxim Vyacheslavovich Rybin ( Russian Максим Вячеславович Рыбин ; born June 15, 1981 in Zhukovsky , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player .

Career

Maxim Rybin began his career in the hockey school of HK Spartak Moscow and made his debut in 1996 in the club's second team, which took part in the third-rate Pervaya League . In the same season he also came to six appearances in the first team of Spartak in the Super League . He played for his hometown club until 1999 and established himself within the first team during this time. In the 1998/99 season he scored a total of 27 points scorer in 53 season games for Spartak, so that he was appointed to the all- rookie team of the Superliga. He was then selected during the following NHL Entry Draft in 1999 by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the fifth round in 141st place.

From the 1999/2000 season, the striker played with the Sarnia Sting in the Canadian junior league Ontario Hockey League . In the summer of 2000, he took part in the Ducks training camp, but was not given a place in the NHL franchise squad . Despite some offers from Russian clubs Rybin stayed in the OHL for another year, during which he became the Sting's second-best scorer and top scorer. In the summer of 2001 he was committed by Salawat Julajew Ufa for a season, after which he moved to Severstal Tscherepowez .

Through his training club Spartak, the striker came to HK Awangard Omsk , with whom he became Russian runner- up in the 2005/06 season after his team had lost the playoff final 3-0 to Ak Bars Kazan . After twelve games of the following season he moved to Metallurg Novokuznetsk before returning to his hometown club in 2007.

When club SKA St. Petersburg of the Russian stands since July 2009, under contract, after leaving Spartak because of a salary reduction of 20 percent. In May 2011 Rybin received a three-year contract extension that tied him to the SKA until 2014. This contract was terminated in the summer of 2013 and Rybin moved to HK Vitjas together with Maxim Afinogenow . At HK Vitjas he was initially team captain, but was dismissed in early November 2013 and moved to Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk .

International

Maxim Rybin represented his home country Russia at the U18 Junior World Championship in 1999 , where he collected three points in seven tournament games and finished sixth with the U18 national team. As a result, he was initially no longer appointed to a Russian national team. He was only nominated for the Euro Hockey Tour 2008/09 and took part in the LG Hockey Games 2009 , where he was appointed to the All-Star team. Even with the sweeps 2009/10 and 2010/11 of the Euro Hockey Tour graduated Rybin each some games and was in the 2011 LG Hockey Games re-Star All team appointed to that and voted best striker.
