Medendorf is a village in the large municipality of Büllingen in the German-speaking Community (DG) in eastern Belgium . Medendorf has 28 inhabitants; it is about 4 kilometers west of the village of Manderfeld and 8 kilometers southeast of the main town of Büllingen. West of Medendorf is the Kreuz auf der Flins , a massive stone cross from the 17th century that is protected as a cultural monument.
history
The place was mentioned in 1538 as "Medener" in the lift register of the Moselle trips . Until the Belgian territorial reform in 1977 , Medendorf belonged to the municipality of Schönberg , then it became part of the new larger municipality of Büllingen.
