Domaine Berterath

Around 1900 the state Prussian model estate Domaine Berterath was established in Berterath , initially with around 140 animals, including 12 dairy cows, in order to familiarize the local farmers with the latest achievements of modern agriculture and at the same time to promote the impoverished area economically. A microbrewery was set up in 2017 in part of the buildings of the former model property . So here, 120 years after their creation, agricultural raw materials are once again processed into luxury goods. The approach of brewing strong beers according to Belgian tradition in the Eifel-Domaine-Berterath is related to the original idea of regional added value.
