history

The church of St. Anna from 1601 is located in the center of the village. Between 1944 and 1976, Wirtzfeld belonged to the Rocherath community . Wirtzfeld has been part of the municipality of Büllingen since the municipal merger in 1977 .

The chess friends Wirtzfeld were in 2009 and 2013 Belgian team champion in chess.
