My name is Somebody (original title: Il mio nome è Thomas ; reference title: My name is Somebody - two fists return ) is an Italian drama by and with Terence Hill from 2018. It is his first appearance as a film actor since Doc West - Nobody strikes back from 2009.

Thomas lives in a country house near a monastery in the Italian province. One day he decides with his Harley to travel to the Spanish desert to there in solitude the book Lettere dal deserto by Carlo Carretto to read. At the first gas station, he meets the runaway Lucia, whom he frees from an awkward position. This soon sticks to him like a burdock. Together they travel to Spain, where Lucia is supposed to be picked up by her aunt. But Thomas realizes that she needs help. A fragile platonic friendship develops between the two . When Lucia floods in a pub, she insists on sleeping in his hotel room.
The next morning there is an argument between the two, during which Thomas drives on. But in the middle of the journey he has a bad premonition, turns back and can just save Lucia from the burning hotel room. At the hospital, he learns that something is wrong with her heart.
He says goodbye to her again and finds a place in the Spanish desert. He uses the leftover backdrops from an old western as a bed. During the night Lucia finds her way to him again and moves into the next house. The two spend a few days in the desert with philosophical discussions about the book until Lucia's motorcycle gives up the ghost. Thomas pretends not to be able to fix it, but Lucia disappears into the night with his motorcycle. With Lucia's motorcycle he doesn't make it into town and, dehydrated , he returns to an inn where Lucia has also been before. The guests there insult the young woman as a "hooker" and so it comes to a bar fight. Shortly afterwards he meets Lucia again. After a brief argument, the two make up again. Now Thomas finally meets his aunt. Together they show her their current whereabouts. The aunt gives her another night in the desert.
That night, Lucia dies in Thomas' arms of heart failure after seeing mother Maria . Shortly afterwards, a new star shines in the firmament.
Thomas returns to Italy and finds a letter in a box that Lucia left for him, in which she thanks for the time they spent together. When Thomas prepares his machine again, Lucia appears to him as a ghost and both drive away, this time to the north.

It was a project close to the heart of the actor Terence Hill, who had worked on the script for ten years and who also directed and played the leading role. The film was produced by Terence Hill's son, Jess Hill .
The film is not only Terence Hill's first feature film in ten years, but also his first feature film in twenty years, after his last productions were only on television. There are numerous references to earlier films such as Four Fists for a Hallelujah (1971), My Name Is Nobody (1973) or The Miami Cops (1985). There is also a beatings scene in the style of the old films. Hill dedicated the film to his late friend and longtime film partner Bud Spencer . Hill found out about his death while looking for suitable locations in Almería . He also met Bud Spencer for the first time in the desert of Almería.
My name is Somebody had its theatrical release in Germany on August 30, 2018.

The film was positively reviewed by André Wesche in the Stuttgarter Zeitung :
“Of course the film cannot bring back the days of the duo's successful spaghetti westerns. But we don't have to do without a proper pub fight or the frying pan that has been converted into a weapon. However, the emotional level of the current work goes much deeper, right up to the melodrama that will not leave your eyes dry. Inevitably, the strip looks a little old-fashioned. But please understand this term as a seal of approval. What a wonderful gift from an attractively matured, now age-old cult star to the army of his admirers. "

“'My name is Somebody' is primarily a road movie. Veronica Bitto, a newcomer from Italy who was born in 1992, is placed alongside Hill.
