action
As a teenager, Franziska had to give up her newborn son for adoption under pressure from her parents. The father reported her friend Thorsten to alleged rape.
25 years later, Franziska is a successful career woman. The events surrounding her son catch up with her when her partner Robert expresses the desire to have children. Franziska starts looking for her son Oliver, who grew up in various homes and foster families. When she finally finds him in Munich, she finds out that Oliver is a drug addict. He now has a child of his own with his girlfriend Sandy. She persuades him to withdraw and supports him. She receives unexpected help from Thorsten.
Sandy and Oliver are planning to move to Rosenheim, where they want to start a new life. However, Oliver dies of sepsis as a result of years of drug use.
Reviews
"Striking (TV) drama, which sometimes impresses from an acting perspective, but which lacks any nuances until the end."
“And yet the drama, which is very much attributed to Veronica Ferres in the lead role, cannot quite convince. (...) Her outbursts of emotion are exaggerated, for example when she is crying on the roof of a house. Ullmann is the only one who ensures that this somewhat rickety film doesn't collapse completely. "
"Firstly, the Ferres plays here with the expressiveness of a cuckoo clock, and secondly, Vivian Naefe's hard-working staging (" The Wild Chickens ") lacks a sense of truthfulness."
Awards
In 2012 Kostja Ullmann was nominated for the Bambi in the category “Best Actor National”.
