Meinsdorf has been part of Roßlau since October 1, 1965 and since the merger on July 1, 2007, it has belonged to the twin cities of Dessau-Roßlau in Saxony-Anhalt .

history
The first historical mention is dated to the year 1542. In 1877 a large freight yard was built in Meinsdorf, and in 1911 a railway stop including freight handling was added. Due to the award of Roßlau to the state exhibition "Building and Living in Europe" in 1992, the construction of the European village Meinsdorf began in 1993 and was inaugurated in 1994.
