Menno Fahl

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Menno Fahl (born April 14, 1967 in Hanover ) is a German sculptor , painter and graphic artist . He lives in Berlin and in a town in Schleswig-Holstein.

Life

Menno Fahl was born in Hanover in 1967. From 1988 to 1992 he studied painting at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel under Peter Nagel (graduating with a diploma). The artistic examination of the interaction of color and space led him to further study sculpture at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Lothar Fischer in 1993 . He graduated in 1997 as a master class student. Lothar Fischer commented on Menno Fahl in 1995: “From the background of the painting, he adopts the figure as a theme for the concrete space, but not as the purpose of a representation, but as a result that arises from playing with form and color. This color-plastic dialogue is an astonishingly seldom taken up problem in the present, because it is logically rooted in the tradition of European modernism of this century. "

Menno Fahl has been working as a freelance artist since 1997 . From 1997 to 2005 he was given a teaching position for painting at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel . His works are in public and private collections. Since 1989 he has presented exhibitions in art associations, museums, public and private galleries and art fairs on a national and international level.
