Meo Wulf (born January 31, 1992 in Hamburg ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Career

At the age of twelve, Meo Wulf made his debut in Waiting for Godot under the direction of Jan Bosse at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg on the theater stage, which was followed by regular appearances in the context of the backstage productions there. He played his first leading role in 2009 in the play Spurensuche , written by Francis Winter and premiered at the Ernst Deutsch Theater . At the same time, he gained experience working in front of the camera by taking on episode roles in various television productions such as 4 gegen Z , Da geht Kalle or Der Dicke . During this time he was already seen in several films and also received the lead role in a student film.

From 2009 to 2010, Wulf took part in an “Audition Acting Class” at the Hamburg Drama School Film Characters under the direction of Erla Prollius, Michael Walz and Karl Georg Kayser, thus gaining first insights into the professional training of actors. In the spring of 2011, he also passed his Abitur exams, the preparations for acquiring his driving license and the filming of the fourth season of the family series Veterinarian Dr. Mertens , in which he shot in a supporting role for the first time. A few months after graduating from school, Wulf was employed by the ARD series Familie Dr. Kleist hired Peter “Piwi” Kleist to fill the main role , which he took over from David Bode . Both formats were first broadcast on German television in 2013.

In 2011 Wulf received a scholarship from the youth academy for the performing arts , which was supported by the proskenion foundation , to which the institution is affiliated. As part of this funding program for up-and-coming talents, he first attended a few seminars to deepen his acting basics, before he began a four-year acting training at the renowned Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna in 2012 .

Meo Wulf speaks fluent English in addition to his mother tongue and has basic knowledge of Spanish. He currently lives in Vienna, but still has his permanent residence in his hometown Hamburg. Since the 2016/17 season he has been a member of the theater in der Josefstadt .
