Michael Autengruber

Michael Autengruber (born January 29, 1961 in Konstanz ) is a German phalerist , historian and theologian . He lives as a bookseller and publisher in Konstanz.

Life

After graduating from the Ellenrieder-Gymnasium Konstanz , Autengruber was a candidate for priesthood in Freiburg im Breisgau and Rome . From 1980 he studied Catholic theology at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität and the Gregoriana with a focus on church history and antiquity . In 1987 he passed the main theological examination and the diploma examination. He then completed a two-year training course as a banker at Deutsche Bank in Freiburg . As such, he was from 1989 to 2002 in Freiburg, Offenburg and Frankfurt with credit and foreign trade deals.

As a sideline , he has been a specialist dealer of medals and decorations as well as specialist bookseller and antiquarian for phaleristic specialist literature since 1983 . In 2002 he made it his job . Since 1986 he has been a phaleristic expert for German and foreign auction houses ( numismatics , art and antiques ), museums , law enforcement authorities , judicial authorities and insurers and since 1994 also an auctioneer. In 1996 he founded a publishing house for phaleristic and local history specialist literature in Offenbach am Main . In 2002 he returned to his hometown. Since 2008 he has been on the board of the Society of Friends of the Rosgarten Museum .

In addition to his mother tongues German, Lake Constance and Swiss German, he speaks or reads thirteen languages. He is involved in many church, historical, health, zoological, ecological, museum and local associations.
