Michael Beriegel

Michael Beriegel (also Berigel or Briegel ; * to 1630 ; † 1687 / 1693 ) was a German organ builder , in northern Germany worked.

Life

Michael Beriegel was a student and son-in-law of the organ builder Friedrich Stellwagen , whose daughter Catharina Elisabeth (* 1638, † after 1693) he married. He lived in Lüneburg and worked in the surrounding area as far as Mecklenburg. From 1669 he built a new organ for the cathedral in Cammin in Pomerania with three manuals and 40 stops, the prospectus of which has been preserved to this day. At that time he probably lived in Szczecin . His son David Georg (also David Jürgen) worked with him in Sternberg .
