Michael Laricchia (born December 5, 1968 in Wattenscheid , now Bochum ) is a German actor .

Life

The actor Michael Laricchia was born to a Polish mother and an Italian father in today's Bochum district of Wattenscheid.

He received his acting training from 1991 to 1995 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . Here actors like Götz Schubert or Rainer Heise were among his teachers, as well as the Brecht singer Gina Pietsch in the field of singing .

He completed his beginner years at the Landestheater Tübingen , where he was able to work with directors such as Donald Berkenhoff and Volker Lösch . He then played at various theaters in Germany and was engaged at the legendary Schlossparktheater Berlin from 2000 to 2002 , where he performed with Heribert Sasse , Jenny Gröllmann , Volkmar Kleinert and Ezard Haussmann . His most important roles there were Thomas Diafoirus in Moliére's The Imaginary Sick and Erich in Horváth's Tales from the Vienna Woods .

He played Timo Zenker in the WDR cult television series Lindenstrasse for two years. Til Schweiger played his brother . Until 2005 (episode 1000) Laricchia appeared again and again as a guest in this role, in a total of 40 episodes. In 2009 he was replaced in this role by the actor Michael Baral. Laricchia also appeared in two episodes in the RTL series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten .

Laricchia has been engaged at the Baden-Baden Theater since 2004 . Here he played the solo piece Novecento by Alessandro Baricco , the three sons in The Copies by Caryl Churchill , the Trivelin in The False Maid of Marivaux, the lawyer Alain in God of Slaughter by Yasmina Reza and the King in The King's Speech by David Seidler . He worked here with directors such as Irmgard Lange , Johanna Schall , Stefan Huber and Wolfram Apprich .

Laricchia currently lives in Karlsruhe and Berlin.
