Michael Pak Jeong-il
Michael Pak Jeong-il (born December 18, 1926 in P'yongnam , Chōsen , former Japanese Empire ) is former bishop of Masan .
Life
Michael Pak Jeong-il was ordained a priest on November 23, 1958 . Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Cheju on April 15, 1977 .
The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Korea , Luigi Dossena , donated him episcopal ordination on May 31 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Victorinus Youn Kong-hi , Archbishop of Kwangju , and Joseph Byeong Hwa Chang , Bishop of Masan.
On June 8, 1982, he was appointed Bishop of Jeonju . On December 15, 1988, he was appointed Bishop of Masan . On November 11, 2002, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
