Michael Wehrheim
Michael Wehrheim (born December 11, 1959 in Bad Homburg before the height ; † May 7, 2011 ) was a German economist and table tennis player .
Life
Wehrheim studied at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . In 1984 he got there his degree as a graduate -Kaufmann. From 1979 to 1986 he was management assistant at Westo GmbH in Oberursel . From 1986 to 1989 he worked as a research assistant at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University. During this time his doctorate he 1988 Dr. rer. pole. In 1989 Wehrheim became a lecturer at the European Business School in Schloss Reichartshausen . In addition, from 1989 to 1990 he was assistant to the board of the Quandt family holding company .
In 1990 Wehrheim became a professor for economics , especially accounting at the Federal University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Dieburg . In 1992 he moved to the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt am Main , where he was professor for business administration , in particular accounting and business taxation, until 2004 . In 1999 he took over the representation of the professorship for general business administration and business taxation at the Philipps University of Marburg , before he finally took over the professorship in 2001. In 2003 he was appointed tax advisor . In 2006 he became Vice Dean of the Department of Economics. From August 2007 Wehrheim was Professor of Business Administration, in particular Business Taxation and External Accounting, at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . From April 2009 to September 2010 he was dean of studies . He has also taught in MBA programs at several domestic and foreign universities as well as in management training programs for international companies.
His research focus was on national and international corporate taxation, accounting and taxation. This also includes the consideration of the effects of taxation on business decisions, especially for medium-sized companies.
He was a member of the Schmalenbach Society for Business Administration and in the Taxes and Accounting Section of the Association of University Professors in Business Administration. He was also a member of the finance and tax committee of the Gießen-Friedberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce and acted as an expert on the finance committee of the German Bundestag .
Table tennis
In addition to his academic career, Wehrheim was an active table tennis player who was already used in the Bundesliga . The club stations in the 1980s and 1990s were:

He also played in the regional league for TTV Stadtallendorf and joined the upper league club TT SG Anspach in 2009 .
