Tettens is a district of the municipality of Wangerland in the district of Friesland in Lower Saxony .
geography
Tettens in Jeverland is 7.5 kilometers south of the Oldenburg North Sea coast and seven kilometers north of Jever .

history
On February 1, 1971, Tettens was incorporated into the new municipality of Wangerland.
Attractions
The Evangelical Lutheran St. Martin's Church was built from 1143 to 1210. The granite church stands on a high warf in the middle of the elongated settlement. The bell tower of brick dates from around 1500 and has an octagonal spire of slate . The church has been Lutheran since 1531. At the beginning of the 20th century, supporting pillars were attached to the apse to prevent the east side of the church from collapsing.

The Tettens outdoor pool is located on the southern outskirts of Tettens. The outdoor pool was built as early as 1956 "as a teaching pool for schools". Visiting the outdoor pool is free.
