Millicent Ndoro (born September 19, 1986 in Kisii ) is a Kenyan sprinter .

Athletic career

Millicent Ndoro gained her first international experience at the 2010 African Championships in Nairobi , where she made it to the semi-finals in the 200-meter run , but did not start there. Even over 100 meters, she made it to the semifinals, in which she was eliminated with 12.38 s. In addition, she finished fifth in the Kenyan 4 x 100 meter relay in 46.53 s. Two years later she made it to the semi-finals at the African Championships in Porto-Novo over 100 and 200 meters, in which she was eliminated with 12.26 s and did not start over 200 meters. In 2014 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow for the first time , where she was eliminated with 12.18 s and 24.84 s over 100 and 200 meters each in the lead and could not qualify for the final with the relay in 46.00 s . Then she reached the African Championships in Marrakech over 100 and 200 meters to the semi-finals, in which she was eliminated with 12.09 s and 24.43 s. In addition, she reached fourth place with the relay in 46.06 s. Also at the Africa Games in Brazzaville the following year, she reached the semi-finals in both individual competitions, in which she was eliminated with 11.98 s and 24.09 s. There, too, she was fourth with the season in 44.75 s.

In 2016, she made it to the semi-finals at the African Championships in Durban over 200 meters, in which she no longer started and reached fourth place in the relay in 46.00 s. In 2018 she took part again in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast and was eliminated there with 24.42 s in the semifinals. Also at the African Championships in Asaba , she reached the semi-finals, in which she was eliminated with 24.24 s. In addition, she won the bronze medal with the relay in 45.58 s behind Nigeria and the Ivory Coast. At the IAAF World Relays 2019 in Yokohama , she started with the 4 x 200 meter relay, but could not finish the run. In August she took part again in the Africa Games in Rabat , where she took eleventh place in the long jump with a width of 5.82 m and was eliminated in the semifinals over 200 meters with 23.94 s. In addition, she won the bronze medal with the Kenyan relay in 45.44 s behind Nigeria and South Africa.

From 2012 to 2014 Ndoro was the Kenyan champion in the 100-meter run and in 2012, 2013 and 2019 also over 200 meters.
