Mitterau is a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Gaming in the Scheibbs district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 54 building areas with 20,314 m² and 22 gardens on 43,575 m² in the cadastral community Mitterau , in 1989/1990 there were 49 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 112 and in 2009/2010 there were 75 buildings on 114 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 214 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 1556 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 191 hectares and 1577 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 186 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 1562 hectares. Mitterau's average soil climate is 16.2 (as of 2010).
