Mokre Łany (German: Mokrolohna ) is a district of Strzelce Opolskie ( Groß Strehlitz ) and a Schulzenamt of the Strzelce Opolskie municipality in Poland .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1448. In 1837 the Catholic school was founded. In 1865, in addition to the village, Mokrolohna also consisted of the Mokrolohna and Gruschek suburbs and the Ischl Tower . The village had 13 farmers, five half-farmers, 13 gardeners, 29 cottagers and 42 residents. There was a limestone quarry near Gruschek.

In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 254 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 390 for Poland. Mokrolohna stayed with the German Empire . On January 1, 1931, Mokrolohna was incorporated into the city of Groß Strehlitz. In 1936 the place was renamed Wiesengrund . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Groß Strehlitz .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed Mokre Łany on June 28, 1948 . In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Strzelecki .
