Moritz von Treuenfels

Moritz von Treuenfels (born December 19, 1988 in Eutin ) is a German film and theater actor .

Life

Moritz von Treuenfels was born the third of five children in Eutin and attended a Waldorf school . His father Hubertus von Treuenfels grew up in Brazil , is a dentist and runs an orthodontic practice in Eutin. His mother Alexandrine von Treuenfels (née von Saldern ) is a trained bookseller .

Von Treuenfels has been playing the cello and piano since he was seven . He received several awards, including a. makes music with youth . After graduating from high school , he did his acting training from 2010 to 2014 at the renowned Otto Falckenberg School in Munich.

During his acting training he already played in productions at the Münchner Kammerspiele . He began his first permanent theater engagement in 2015 at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . He had great success there with the role of Lars Koch in the play Terror by Ferdinand von Schirach (director: Kurt Josef Schildknecht ) and played a. a. next to Nicole Heesters . At the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam he also had great success with the role as Rio Reiser in Rio Reiser. King of Germany . He has been a member of the Theater Basel ensemble since the 2019/20 season . There he plays Hans Christian Andersen in Andersen's stories directed by Philipp Stölzl . From the 2020/21 season he will be a permanent member of the ensemble at the Residenztheater in Munich.
