The Mosalem Township is one of 17 townships in Dubuque County in eastern US -amerikanischen state of Iowa .

The Mosalem Township is located in eastern Iowa on the west bank of the Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois . The township is located on the southeastern edge of the city of Dubuque , the center of the region.
The Mosalem Township lies at 42 ° 25'13 "north latitude and 90 ° 36'23" west longitude and extends over 85.21 km², which is spread over 79.77 km² of land and 5.44 km² of water.
The Mines of Spain State Recreation Area and EB Lyons Nature Center is located in the north of Mosalem Township. There is the grave of the French explorer Julien Dubuque, who gave the city and the county its name .
The Mosalem Township borders within Dubuque County in the southwest to the Washington Township , in the west to the Table Mound Township and in the northwest to the city of Dubuque. The northeast of the township is formed by Mississipp and thus the border with Illinois. To the south, Mosalem Township borders Jackson County .
