Motrich is an inhabited part of the municipality Cumlosen of the Lenzen-Elbtalaue office in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is two kilometers east of Cumlosen and 15 kilometers southeast of Lenzen , the seat of the Lenzen-Elbtalaue office. The neighboring towns are Laaslich in the north, Kuhwinkel , Dergenthin and Schilde in the north-east, Bentwisch in the east, Weisen , Lindenberg in the Wittenberge in the south-east, Wahrenberg in the south, Wentdorf in the south-west, Cunmlosen in the west, and Jagel , Bernheide , Bärwinkel and Lenzersilge in the north-west.

history

Around 1800 the place belonged to the Perleberg district of the province of Prignitz ; part of the Kurmark of the Mark Brandenburg . In a description of this landscape from 1804, the village was given with 169 inhabitants. These included seven Kossäts, nine Büdner and 21 residents. In addition, there were 24 fireplaces, the residents were parish in "Bendwisch" and the address was Perleberg. The "von Platen", "von Flothow" and "von Möllendorf " families were named as owners .
