Wentdorf is an inhabited part of the municipality Cumlosen of the Lenzen-Elbtalaue office in the Prignitz district in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is one kilometer southeast of Cumlosen and 14 kilometers southeast of Lenzen , the seat of the Lenzen-Elbtalaue office. The neighboring towns are Motrich and Bentwisch in the northeast, Lindenberg in the east, Wittenberge and Wahrenberg in the southeast, Pollitz , Müggendorf , Wanzer , Klein Wanzer , Stresow and Gummern in the southwest, and Cumlosen and Bärwinkel in the northwest.

history

Around 1800 the place belonged to the Perleberg district of the province of Prignitz ; part of the Kurmark of the Mark Brandenburg . In a description of this landscape from 1804, the village and the Wentdorf estate were given with a total of 212 inhabitants. Among these were 17 whole farmers, eight residents, four Büdner, a Kossat and a forester. There were also 36 fireplaces and twelve acres of wood. The village church was a branch church of the Cumlosen parish church of the Perleberg inspection and the address was also Perleberg. "The Lieutenant von Möllendorf zu Bärenheide" was named as the owner.
