Maximilian Dirr (* 1983 in Landshut ) is a German actor who works in Italy and Germany.

Life

Education and theater

Maximilian Dirr grew up in Germany and Italy. From 2004 to 2007 he studied English and Spanish at the University of La Sapienza (University of Rome I) in Rome . Dirr completed his acting studies from 2007 to 2010 at the State Academy of Dramatic Art "Teatro Stabile di Genova" in Genoa , where he obtained his acting diploma.

He then took up his first permanent engagement at the Teatro Stabile di Genova, where he had already performed during his studies. Dirr has also worked for cinema and television since 2008. He made his cinema debut, directed by Giorgio Diritti , with a small role as an SS soldier in the Italian film The Man Who Will Come (2008) about the SS massacre in Marzabotto, northern Italy . In 2017, Maximilian Dirr appeared in German cinemas in the comedy Maria Mafiosi directed by Jule Ronstedt and in the war drama Sobibor by Konstantin Khabenskiy, based on real events, about an uprising in the extermination camp of the same name in 1943.
