The Municipio Capinota is a district in the Department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Capinota is one of three municipalities in the province of Capinota . It borders the province of Quillacollo to the northwest , the municipality of Sicaya to the west, the province of Arque to the southwest , the department Potosí to the southeast , the province of Esteban Arce to the west , and the municipality of Santiváñez to the north .
The central place of the municipality is Capinota with 5,264 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the northwestern part of the district.

The municipality of Capinota is located in the Bolivian Cordillera Central in the transition area to the Bolivian lowlands.
The mean average temperature of the region is around 20 ° C (see Capinota climate diagram) and fluctuates only slightly between 16 ° C in June and July and a good 22 ° C in November and December.
