The Municipio Santiago de Huari (also "Huari" for short ) is a district in the Oruro department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Santiago de Huari is the only municipality in the province of Sebastián Pagador . It borders in the northeast and north with the northern part of the province of Eduardo Avaroa , in the northwest with the province Sud Carangas and the province Ladislao Cabrera , in the southwest with the southern part of the province Eduardo Avaroa, and in the southeast with the department Potosí .

The municipality of Santiago de Huari is located on the eastern edge of the Bolivian Altiplano in front of the Cordillera Azanaques , which is part of the Cordillera Central mountain range . The mean average temperature of the region is 8–9 ° C (see climate diagram Challapata) and fluctuates between 4 ° C in June and July and 11 ° C in December. The annual precipitation is almost 350 mm, with a pronounced dry season from April to October with monthly precipitation below 15 mm, and significant precipitation only from December to March with 60 to 80 mm monthly precipitation.
