The Municipio Tomave is a district in the Potosí Department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Municipio Tomave is one of three Municipios in the Antonio Quijarro Province . It is bordered to the north, west and south by the municipality of Uyuni , to the southeast by the province of Nor Chichas , to the east by the province of José María Linares , and to the northeast by the municipality of Porco and the province of Tomás Frías .

Tomave is located on the Altiplano in central Bolivia on the northeastern edge of the Cordillera de Chichas .
The mean average temperature of the region is around 11 ° C (see Potosí climate diagram), the monthly average temperatures vary between 8 ° C in June / July and a good 13 ° C from November to March.
