The Municipio Villa Serrano is a district in the Chuquisaca department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The municipality of Villa Serrano is the only municipality in the province of Belisario Boeto . It borders the province of Jaime Zudáñez to the northwest , the province of Tomina to the southwest and south , the department of Santa Cruz to the east , and the department of Cochabamba to the north .

The municipality extends approximately between 18 ° 38 'and 19 ° 11' south latitude and 64 ° 02 'and 64 ° 30' west longitude, its extent from west to east is 30 to 40 kilometers, from north to south 65 kilometers.

The municipality comprises 109 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the town of Villa Serrano with 3,298 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the southwestern part of the district.
