The Municipio Zudáñez is a district in the Chuquisaca department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The Municipio Zudáñez is one of four Municipios of the Jaime Zudáñez Province and is located in the central part of the province. It is bordered by the Municipio Presto to the northwest , the Province of Yamparáez to the west, the Municipio Icla to the south, the Province of Tomina to the southeast , and the Municipio Mojocoya to the northeast .

The municipality extends from 18 ° 55 'to 19 ° 20' south latitude and from 64 ° 34 'to 64 ° 51' west longitude, it measures up to 45 kilometers from north to south and up to 30 kilometers from east to west.

The municipality comprises 70 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the rural town of Zudáñez with 3,177 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the central part of the district.

The municipality of Zudáñez is located between the Altiplano in the west and the lowlands in the east in one of the north-south side valleys of the Bolivian Cordillera Central .
