The Municipio Presto is a district in the Chuquisaca department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The Municipio Presto is one of four Municipios of the Jaime Zudáñez Province and is located in the northwestern part of the province. It borders on the department of Cochabamba to the north, the province of Oropeza to the west, the municipality of Zudáñez to the south , and the municipality of Mojocoya to the east .

The municipality comprises 156 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the village Presto with 2,908 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the southwestern part of the district, the second largest village is Pasopaya with 797 inhabitants.

The Municipio Presto is located between the Altiplano in the west and the lowlands in the east in one of the north-south side valleys of the Bolivian Cordillera Central . The climate of the region is a distinct daytime climate , in which the temperature differences between day and night fluctuate more clearly than the average values ​​between summer and winter.
