The pieces of music on the Voyager Golden Record form the fourth and final section on the interstellar data disk. 27 different pieces of music were selected for this. The genres range from ballet , choral music , gamelan , jazz , chamber music , piano music , mariachi , opera , Qin , Renaissance music , rock 'n' roll , percussion instrument , shakuhachi , Symphony , Spiritual , String Quartet , Violin Sonata , vocal music (five titles) and Folk music (with five titles). The total playing time of the pieces of music is one hour, 27 minutes and 16 seconds (87:16 minutes).
