My Kind of Christmas is the third studio album by American pop singer Christina Aguilera . It contains only Christmas carols and was released in 2000.
Creation of the album
Because The Christmas Song was recorded while working on Aguilera's debut album , the other songs from My Kind of Christmas had to be produced during a tour in mid-2000. The album was recorded at the same time as their Spanish language album Mi reflejo . Both albums were released a month after the recordings. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA and sold over three million copies in the United States .
The song Christmas Time was made available to radio stations in mid-November 2000 and is still Aguilera's only song that did not make it onto the Billboard Hot 100 . Merry Christmas, Baby peaked at number 38 on the Billboard Hot Ringtones chart in December 2007, seven years after its release. The song Climb Every Mountain , originally by Julie Andrews , is also included on the My Reflection DVD . The song These Are the Special Times is a cover version of Celine Dion's title from her 1998 Christmas album These Are Special Times .
