Feel This Moment is a song by American rapper Pitbull in collaboration with singer Christina Aguilera . The song was released on January 18, 2013 as the fourth off Pitbull's album Global Warming. The song was produced by Adam Messinger, Nasri Atweh, ​​Sir Nolan and DJ Buddha.

Background and musical

The song samples the famous synthesizer riff from a-ha's world hit Take On Me , which is why a-ha band members Morten Harket , Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and Magne Furuholmen are listed as co-authors of the song.

On October 26, 2012, Pitbull announced a list of collaboration partners for its album Global Warming on its website, including Aguilera.

Pitbull and Christina Aguilera performed the song live at the 2012 American Music Awards and the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.

criticism

Feel This Moment was received largely positively by critics. Allmusic's David Jeffries called the song a glorious disco explosion. Entertainment Weekly's Ray Rahmann thought the song was the best on the album.

Commercial win

The song reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was awarded double platinum. In the Swiss single charts, the song debuted at number 40 and later reached its top position at number 7. In Germany the best placement was 9th. In the UK and Austria the song reached 5th and 2nd place.
