Myron Nettinga (* 1967 ) is an American sound engineer .

Life

Nettinga began his career as a sound engineer in the early 1990s. In addition to commitments in the film, he worked for television, among other things, he worked on the Stephen King - Miniseries The monster . For his work in television, he was nominated six times for the Primetime Emmy between 1993 and 1998 , but never received the award.

In 2002 he and Michael Minkler and Chris Munro received the Oscar in the Best Sound category for Black Hawk Down . In the same year he was also nominated for the BAFTA Film Award in the category Best Sound . He received further nominations for the BAFTA Film Award in 2004 for Kill Bill - Volume 1 and in 2005 for Collateral .
