The steam locomotive series NÖLB 6 was a tank locomotive series of the Niederösterreichische Landesbahnen (NÖLB), whose locomotives originally came from the Dampftramway Krauss & Comp (DTKC) in Vienna .
In 1904, the DTKC procured two triple-coupled locomotives from Krauss in Linz for operation on the Stammersdorf - Auersthal route . When the NÖLB took over operations on this route in 1913 , the two machines were given the numbers 6.01-02 . In 1922 , the NÖLB was leased to the BBÖ , which gave the two machines the designation 296.01-02 . The 296.01 was sold to the Lamingtal-Schleppbahn in 1932 , the 296.02 was retired in 1934 . The locomotive 31 STAMMERSDORF is located at the IG Museumstramway Mariazell – Erlaufsee .
