At the 2006 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships , the champions in US college tennis were determined. One of the six competitions was the men's singles . The game was played on May 24-29 on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto , California .

The winner was the German Benjamin Kohllöffel from UCLA . He defeated the Indian Somdev Devvarman of the University of Virginia in straight sets in the final .
