At the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships in 2017, the champions of US college tennis were determined for the 133rd time . One of the six competitions was the men's singles . The game was played on May 24-29 on the University of Georgia campus in Athens , Georgia .

Shortly before the start of the tournament, Cameron Norrie ( TCU ) and Aleksandar Vukic ( Illinois ) canceled numbers 1 and 3 on the seeding list. The top seed was now the Dane Mikael Torpegaard from Ohio State University . He failed in the last sixteen at the eventual winner, the American Thai-Son Kwiatkowski from the University of Virginia .
